Appetizers

 

Bacon Wrapped

3 – 4 Polish American Deli Pierogies per serving

Wrap a slice of bacon around a Polish American Deli Pierogies and secure with a toothpick. Place on broiler pan and broil 4 – 5 inches from heat for approximately 3 minutes. Remove from oven, turn and broil an additional 3 minutes or until bacon is cooked and pierogies is well puffed.

    

Pan Fry or Broil with Dip

3 – 4 Polish American Deli Pierogies per serving

Pan fry Polish American Deli Pierogies until browned. Serve with salsa, sour cream or any other dipping sauce.

    

Low Fat Alternative

 

Try Polish American Deli Pierogies, steamed or boiled with any healthy sauce.

Main Dishes

 

Pierogies & Kielbasa

Size: 2 - 3 Servings

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies

1 lb of Polish American Deli Smoked Sausage (Ask us for a recommendation)

1 medium sized onion

2-3 tbsp of butter

 

Sauté onions in butter until tender.  Add Pierogies and Kielbasa and sauté 6-8 minutes, stirring Pierogies and Kielbasa pieces to brown on both sides. Serve with cooked vegetables for a complete meal.

 

Stir Fried Pierogies

Size: 2 - 3 Servings

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies

2-3 tbsp of Canola Oil

Stir fry vegetables

 

Heat oil in a large skillet or wok. Add Polish American Deli Pierogies and brown lightly on both sides until heated through. Remove pierogies and keep warm. Add vegetables to skillet and sauté until tender crisp. Add 1 – 2 tablespoons water and cover with lid. Combine Polish American Deli Pierogies and vegetables with your favorite stir fry sauce and season to taste.

 

Pierogies Casserole  

Size: 2 - 3 Servings

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies

1 Onion, chopped

1/4 cup of Milk

1 tbsp. of Butter or Margarine

1/2 cup of Cooked Ham, diced

1 Green Pepper, diced

1/4 cup of Cheddar Cheese, shredded

10 oz. can of condensed Mushroom Soup

 

In a small skillet melt butter or margarine and sauté onion and green pepper for 5 minutes. In a medium size casserole dish, combine frozen Polish American Deli Pierogies, onion, green pepper, and ham. Combine milk and mushroom soup and pour over casserole. Top with cheddar cheese. Bake 35 minutes at 175ºC (350ºF), or microwave until heated through.

 

Italian Style Pierogies

Size : 2 – 3 Servings

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies

1 tbsp. of Vegetable Oil

1/4 cup of Onions, sliced

1 lb of Lean Ground Beef

1/2 tsp. of Salt

1/4 tsp. of Pepper

1 Garlic Clove, minced

2 tsp. of Worcestershire Sauce

2 tsp. of Sugar

1 tbsp. of Oregano

28 oz. can Tomato Sauce

 

Brown onions and beef in oil in a large heavy skillet. Add salt, pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, oregano, and tomato sauce.

Simmer for 35 minutes.

Boil Polish American Deli Pierogies separately and serve topped with Italian sauce.

Side Dishes

 

Lazy Lasagna

Size: 2-3 Servings

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies (Cheese only)

4 cups of Meat Sauce

1/2 cup of Mozzarella Cheese

  

In a large casserole dish, place one layer of frozen Polish American Deli Pierogies. Add half the sauce and 1/4 of the cheese. Place a second layer of Polish American Deli Pierogies and add the remainder of the sauce. Top with remaining cheese.

Bake at 175ºC (350ºF) for 30 – 35 minutes.

 

Spicy Mexican Pierogies

Size: 2-3 Servings

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies

2 tbs. of Hot Taco Sauce or Salsa

2 tbs. of Sour Cream

  

Prepare Polish American Deli Pierogies by boiling or pan frying them. Combine hot taco sauce and sour cream and spread over pierogies.

 

Crispy Curry Pierogies

Size: 2-3 Servings

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogi

1/4 cup of Margarine or Butter

1 tbsp. of Curry Powder

1 Apple, peeled

1/4 cup of Onions, sliced

 

Heat margarine in a frying pan, and then add curry powder and onions. Add Polish American Deli Pierogies and brown for 5 – 6 minutes on medium heat. Add apples (cut in 1/8 wedges), sauté for 3 minutes more and serve.

 

Easy Italian

Size: 2-3 Servings

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies

1/4 cup of Olive Oil

1/8 cup of Parmesan Cheese

1 Tomato, large

1/4 cup of Onions, diced

1/4 tsp. of Italian Seasoning

  

In a frying pan, on medium heat, add frozen Polish American Deli Pierogies and olive oil. Fry until golden brown. Add onions and tomatoes (cut in 1/8 sections) and sauté for 2 – 3 minutes. Add parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.

 

Dilled Mushroom

Size: 2-3 Servings

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies

10 oz. can of Cream of Mushroom Soup

1/2 cup of Milk

1/4 tsp. of Dill Weed

1/8 tsp. of Pepper

 

Heat mushroom soup in a sauce pan. Add milk, dill and pepper. Place Polish American Deli Pierogies in a casserole dish and cover with sauce. Put covered casserole dish in microwave on high for 4 –5 minutes.

 

 

Creamy Caraway

Size: 2-3 Servings

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies

1/2 cup of Half and Half Cream or Whipping Cream

1/4 tbsp. of Caraway Seed

2 of Green Onions, chopped

  

Pour the half and half cream into a large skillet. On medium heat, combine Polish American Deli Pierogies, caraway seed and green onions. Cook until most of the cream is absorbed.

 

 

Great Caesar

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies

1/4 cup of Caesar Dressing

Parmesan Cheese  

Bacon Bits

Croutons

  

Boil Polish American Deli Pierogies and drain. Add Caesar dressing, bacon bits, parmesan cheese and croutons.

 

Hungarian Stroganoff

Size: 2-3 Servings

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies

1/4 cup of Margarine or Butter

½ of Onion, medium sliced

1/4 cup of Sour Cream

1 tsp. of Sweet Paprika

  

Place frozen Polish American Deli Pierogies in a frying pan together with margarine and cook until golden brown. Add onions and sauté for an additional 2 – 3 minutes. Stir in sour cream and paprika and serve. Beef may also be added.

 

Garlic Butter Perogies

Size: 2-3 Servings

1/4 cup of Margarine or Butter

2 Garlic Cloves, crushed

1 tsp. of Parsley, chopped

 

Heat margarine in skillet and sauté Polish American Deli Pierogies with garlic until browned. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

Barbequee

Barbequed Perogies

 

Place Polish American Deli Pierogies on a double layer of aluminum foil. Glaze with butter or margarine and season with salt and pepper. Add 1-2 tbsp. water. Add chopped or sliced onions if desired. Wrap loosely, but be certain to seal the edges of the foil. Place on low to medium heat on the BBQ. Turn frequently. Cook for 10 – 15 minutes.

    

Saucy BBQ

2 packs of Polish American Deli Pierogies

1/2 cup of BBQ sauce

 

Boil or pan fry Polish American Deli Pierogies. Stir in BBQ sauce and serve.

Desserts

Pappy Seed Roll (Makowiec)

 

One of the most delicious Polish cakes! Made with yeast dough and a generous amount of poppy seed filling. The filling is a delicious mix of cooked and grounded poppy seeds, honey, vanilla, orange and lemon peel, walnuts and raisins.  The top of the cake is glazed with powder-sugar icing. You will love it, the aroma and taste is truly unforgettable.

 

 

 

Paczki (Polish Doughnuts)

 

Paczki are finger licking delicious! They are Polish doughnuts with jam or other sweet filling. Try it with our freshly brewed Gourmet Coffee, you will love it!
